The Layout Slide lets you design static display slides to exact specifications. You can add content boxes with text or multimedia, and place and resize your content. It also gives you the option to have a responsive canvas that resizes based on your browser window, or to lock your aspect ratio to a preferred setting.
How to add a new Layout Slide to your deck
You can click on the + Add Slide button on the bottom of the left thumbnail menu, or the "+" button on the top left in the deck builder (next to your deck title).
Scroll down and choose among our available selection of Layout templates.
How to add new content to your Layout Slide
You can add content boxes using the top center menu on the Layout slide.
Add Text (T+): Adds a text box where you can type content
Add Media (🖼+): Enables you to upload an image, video, or audio file into a frame
Once you've clicked in to a text or image/video box, you'll see more menu options based on your selection.
How to manage content on-slide
Move: To move a content box, hover over the edge and click until the shape shows broken lines and squares at the corners. You can hold and drag them to place.
Resize: To resize a content box, click on one of the corner boxes, hold, and drag.
Delete: Click on the box you want to delete, then select the Trash icon on the right of the menu at the top of the box.
Upload: To upload an image, click on the image frame and then click "Upload Image".
Text Formatting
When you have a text box selected, you'll see the below menu, in the center just above your slide:
T+ and Image icon +: Add text content box or media content box
H: Applies heading styles to highlighted text
¶: Applies standard paragraph text style
Alignment & positioning (dropdown): Adjust how text sits inside the frame left to right: left, center, right, or justified alignment; top and bottom: vertical, middle, bottom; and layer order: send to back or bring to front any text boxes that overlap other elements.
B: Applies bold, italic, or underline styling to selected text
Lists (Bulleted / Numbered) – Turns selected text into lists with bullets or numbers
- T +: Increase or decrease font point size of selected text box
A: Changes the color of the font in selected text box
"Open sans": set the font of the selected text box

Duplicate: make a copy of the selected item, place it on-slide

When you have a media box selected, you'll see the below menu, in the center just above your slide:
T+ and Image icon +: Add text content box or media content box
Edit icon: Change the image or media content in your box
X: Set the image to fill the frame or to maintain its own aspect ratio.
Alignment: Set how the image or video file is aligned within the content box frame left to right (left, center, right, or justified alignment); top and bottom (vertical, middle, bottom); and layer order (send to back or bring to front any text boxes that overlap other elements).

Edit: Click to remove the photo or change the image or video file
Duplicate: Create a copy of the content box.

How to manage Aspect Ratio
Change the Aspect Ratio of your slides to your liking and see what works best for your presentation. You can keep slides flexible for different screens or use a fixed layout for a more consistent look.
Responsive: Slide layout auto-adjusts to the size of your browser, screen, and device used.
Widescreen: Slide layout has consistent aspect ratio of 16/10. Even on player view, it’ll always be the same no matter what screen size it is.
Classic: Slide layout has consistent aspect ratio of 4/3.
Locking the Aspect Ratio
When locking the aspect ratio, there’ll be a new option for backgrounds
White fill: White background
Black fill: Black background
Blurred fill: Default setting, background will be blurred
Pass-through: Background will fill the whole view
Grid Layout Options
Adjust your grid layout settings to help position and organize content more easily on your slides. Customize spacing, alignment behavior, and editor view options to create the layout that works best for your presentation.
Show Grid Lines: Displays grid lines to help position content while editing (these only appear in the deck builder)
Snap to Grid: Automatically snaps elements to the nearest grid cell when moving or resizing.
Allow Scroll: Enables or disables scrolling in the host editor view.
Cell Padding: Adjusts the spacing around each grid cell.
Container Padding: Adds spacing around the edges of the entire slide.
