The timer is a setting you can apply to any slide. It sets an amount of time in seconds that a slide will display, before the deck auto-advances to the next slide.

You can also advance the slide before the timer expires by clicking on the right side of the screen (eg. advancing as normal).

How to set the timer

Click the hourglass icon in the menu to the left of any slide.

Toggle on the "Use timer" option.

Set how many seconds you'd like to display that slide. We recommend at least 10 seconds, to give slower internet connections enough time to sync.

Slide steps: You can set which step of the slide the timer begins. Eg. If you'd like the timer to start on the answer options of a multiple choice slide (step 2) instead of the question (step 1), you'd set the timer to begin on Step 2 in the settings.

Gameshow mode:

Turn on this setting to add an additional step between displaying the answer options, and starting the timer / letting participants send in responses.

It simply adds one more "advance" in between the question being displayed and the timer starting, to give the host or presenter time to read the answer options before the participants can select an answer.

How to pause the timer in a live event

  1. Hover over the timer with your mouse

  2. Click

  3. This will pause the timer.

  4. To restart, click again
