πŸ‘‰ Note, slide import is a premium feature: you'll need an upgraded account to add your PPT, PDF, Keynote, or Google slides.

Step 1 β€” Finalize your PPT/gSlides/Keynote presentation

PowerPoint: Complete your presentation deck in PowerPoint and save it:

Google Slides: Complete and export your Google slides into a .pdf or .ppt format:

Keynote: Complete and export your Keynote slides into a .pdf or .ppt format:

You won't be able to make edits to imported slides in SlidesWith, though you'll be able to edit in PowerPoint / Google Slides, and easily re-upload and replace old slides.

Step 2 β€” Import your saved PPT or PDF file into your Slides With Friends deck

Head to your account and open the deck you want to import your slides into (or start a new deck from scratch).

  1. Click the "Import" button in the top menu to upload your .ppt, .pptx, or .pdf slide deck presentation.

  2. Drag your file into the upload box. If your PPT is a very large file this may take up to a couple minutes.

‍

Step 3 β€” Add live polls, questions, word clouds and other interactions

Once you've got your PPT slides in your presentation, you can now add the interactive portions using Slides With Friends.

Each interaction is added like a new slide to your deck. So for instance, if you want to add a Poll question to a PPT slide, this would be a new slide that you would place directly after your static PowerPoint slide.

Do this by opening the "+" button in the top menu, and selecting what type of interactive slide you want to add.

Step 4 – Customize your design

You can select background colors and settings by clicking the "fill" square icon on the top of the left side slide menu.

Options include having your slide letterboxed, or fully surrounded by your deck image, as well as choosing a standardized background for all imported slides.

Step 5 (optional) – Update any changes in your PowerPoint or Google Slides deck to your SlidesWith deck

If you made changes to your slides in PowerPoint or Google Slides, you can easily re-import your deck into Slides with Friends to capture those updates.

Just re-select the same "Import" button, and you will be given the option to add a new deck at the end, or to replace the previously imported PPT slides with the newly saved deck you already imported.

This will replace each slide one by one in the same locations you have them set currently.

Last step β€” Try it out!

Start an event and join in yourself using your phone to scan the QR code.

You'll be able to see how the event will look to your players, how your PPT slides look on the phone, and send responses to see how everything works.
