The wordcloud is a popular and simple slide!

To see an overview and find ready-to-use slide decks with Wordclouds already in them, visit https://slideswith.com/live-word-clouds

What it is

A slide that lets participants create a live-updating word cloud together in real-time. Participants see your prompt text, then enter a word or short phrase, and send it in. The slide displays the words as a cloud, and everyone is able to vote for words to make them larger.

What to use it for

These slides are best for open ended questions, brainstorming, and getting a general read of the feelings of a larger group.

How it works

This slide has two steps. Each step will display one by one as you advance the slide during your presentation.

Step one: "Prompt"

Type in the text of your question or prompt. During a live event, joined participants will see on their device: the prompt text and a box to enter their own word.

To enter text, they tap where it says "type a word" and their keyboard will pop up. They can send up to 24 characters per submission. They can submit as many times as they like.

Step two: "Wordcloud"

When you advance the slide, your wordcloud will now display (see gif at the top of the page). You players will see a list of words on their phones.

They can tap any word once, which will "vote" for that word, making it larger on the main display screen for all to see.
