You can choose from one of four "Player Avatar" styles, to match the desired theme of your event. Some avatar option sets are available to only premium accounts.

How to Set your Avatar Style

Click "Start an Event" in the top right corner of your deck. In the pop up, click on the "Avatars" icon. This will open a pop up menu that will allow you to select from the four options. You'll see icons of sample players on your join slide.

You can select your Avatar style in the Quick Settings Menu, or as detailed above in the "Launch Event" settings modal.

The Style Options

There are 4 player emoji/icon/display styles to choose from so you can control the look & feel of your player's experience.

The "Friendly" Set (free)

Here is the full set of avatars that are available for players to select from, in the "Friendly" set.

The "Professional" Set (premium)

The Professional avatar selections are business-themed icons with a solid background.

The "Text Only" Style (premium)

Players can enter their names or handles, which will appear as simple text on your host display screen.

The "Anonymous" Players Style (premium)

This setting simply assigns all players a blank "user" icon:

As a host or participant, you won't be able to determine which player is which since they are all identical in style and display.

This style is different in a few ways, and the main one is that your players won't be taken to the player Join Screen on their joining device โ€” when joining an event set to the "Anonymous" avatar style, players will be immediately added to the event when they scan the QR code, and won't be asked to select an avatar or enter their name.

As a host you also won't be able to link response data to player, including in a CSV export, since all player naming information will be identical.
